How does OpenVPN work?

OpenVPN

OpenVPN is an open-source VPN software that uses a custom security protocol and SSL/TLS to secure data transmission. Data transferred through OpenVPN is also not restricted by NATs and firewalls. As a result, OpenVPN is one of the preferred VPN software.

But how does OpenVPN work? And, what cryptographic protocols does OpenVPN use to secure data? In this article, we will discuss that in detail. But before that, let’s understand some basic concepts.
