What is VM Sprawl?

VM Sprawl is a phenomenon that occurs when the number of virtual machines connected to a network increases to that extent that the administrators can no longer control or manage them. As a result, the connected virtual machines start consuming lots of resources and the performance of the servers degrades or the servers crash.
