What is Next Hop Resolution protocol (NHRP) and how does it work?

NHRP or Next Hub Resolution Protocol is a protocol that can be used to route traffic efficiently over a Non-Broadcast, Multiple Acess (NBMA) network. NHRP is often used with mGRE to create a dynamic VPN network using DMVPN.

How does the NHRP work and how is it used in DMVPN? In this article, we would discuss that in detail.
