DHCP Starvation attack is an attack in which attackers deplete the IP address space available to a DHCP server and thereby cause a denial of service to legitimate devices in a network. Attackers can use various methods to perpetrate a DHCP Starvation attack. But, they often use malicious clients that send forged DHCP requests to DHCP servers using spoofed MAC addresses.
