The Difference Between IKE and ISAKMP Protocol

ISAKMP Protocol

IKE or Internet Key Exchange protocol is a protocol that sets up Security Associations (SAs) in the IPSec protocol suite. And, ISAKMP or Internet Security Association and Key Management Protocol is a protocol that is used to establish SA and cryptographic keys. Then what is the difference between IKE and ISAKMP protocol and how are they used in the IPSec protocol? In this article, we would discuss that in detail.
