Ping Command

Ping is a software utility that is used to test the reachability of a host on an IP network. Ping works by sending ICMP Echo Request packets to a target host, and after sending the ping packets, the sender waits for replies from the target host. The target host sends ICMP Echo Reply packets to the sending host.

There are many command-line options for the ping command and these options are used for various purposes. In this article, we would discuss various command-line options of the ping command and how these options are used in detail.
