What is an Ethernet frame?

An Ethernet frame is the Protocol Data Unit of the data link layer of the OSI model. The data link layer of one device exchanges Ethernet frames with the data link layer of the other device. An Ethernet frame contains useful information like the source MAC address, destination MAC address, and the CRC value of the frame to ensure that the frame is received error-free.
