Network Repeater

What is a network repeater?

A network repeater is a 2-port network device. It receives a signal from one port, amplifies it, and retransmits the signal through the other port. It acts as a signal booster and is often used to expand the coverage area of a network. A network repeater works in the physical layer of the OSI model.
