What is the Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis?
The Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis describes how an adversary uses capabilities over an infrastructure to launch a cyber attack on a victim. As per this model, every intrusion activity is composed of four core features:
- adversary
- infrastructure
- capability
- victim
These core features are connected as per the relationships among them. And, the connected core features shape like a diamond and hence the model is named the Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis.
