What is DSA?
DSA or Digital Signature Algorithm is an algorithm for digital signatures. The algorithm was first proposed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in 1991. Later, DSA was adopted as FIPS or Federal Information Processing Standard in 1994. DSA is patented, but NIST has made this patent royalty-free and it can be used worldwide.
Using DSA, one can make a digital signature and verify it. The algorithm uses the mathematical concept of modular exponentiation and discrete logarithm problem. How does the DSA algorithm work? In this article, we would discuss that in detail.
