LAND Attack

What is a LAND attack?

The LAND attack is a type of Denial of Service attack in which attackers send a crafted TCP SYN packet to a server with the source address and source port the same as the destination address and destination port. Servers with vulnerable operating systems cannot handle such packets and it results in a Denial of Service attack.
